Strength & Conditioning Coach
I am a Personal Trainer and Injury Treatment Massage Therapist with over 17 years experience. The past 8 years were devoted to running my CrossFit gym.
Building and coaching strength training programs – on a large scale, for people with highly varied backgrounds – has taught me to recognize and modify movements quickly. If you want to eventually get that Muscle Up in or learn various principles of Olympic lifting...I'm your guy!
Functional movement strength training, in my opinion, is an answer to chronic mobility issues and a crossover to generalized sports conditioning. While I leverage my bodywork insight in my training, I've learned that striking a balance between – teaching clients to listen to their body, and getting a good workout – is paramount.
I am a bit of an anatomy geek and I think that puts me in good company at ATI. My fondest anatomy learning experience was doing cadaver courses at Bastyr.
Out of the gym, I like to stay active, and enjoy various martial arts systems and endurance sports (relay's, OCRs, Tri's..etc). As busy as life can get though, I do like my downtime 🙂 Delving into some sci fi or playing board games with friends.
