MAT Rx Practitioner, Performance Specialist
Rick is formally educated in all things concerning general health and athletic performance and is certified as an MAT specialist and an MATRx practitioner.
He completed his undergraduate degree at Central Washinton University where he worked with collegiate athletes specializing in women’s volleyball and men’s soccer.
After graduating Rick worked as a Head Performance Coach at Bellevue High School, Washington as well as physical therapy clinics and health clubs as a performance coach and regional fitness director.
As an MATRx practitioner, Rick has spent his career focusing on cause, symptoms are the bodies clues that tell the story of compensation whether it’s from impact, overuse, being sedentary and/or poor nutrition.
Rick started at Athletic Training Institute in 2004 so that he could focus on solving the problem versus masking them. He has spent his entire career learning everything he could about performance and helping anyone that wishes to preserve their body into the late stages or their life.
